I really need monitors ...

First I have a good room treated correctly etc... 12 deg cloud above mix room is 22x29x9

I have mackie HR6x24's and a Tannoy sub and I just cant get my mixes to translate well at all...!!!!!!!!!!!!

its getting very frustrating...

Recording technique and gear is good... GR2nv, Neve, Avalon, lexicon, neumann etc...

Converters are 16x, track 2 and mini DAC

what are truthful monitors?

Search around, do LOTS of research on any and all options, keep an open mind, and go listen to monitors.

And most importantly disregard any information that doesn't come from YOUR OWN ears!!!!
money might or might not have anything to do with it . . .

None, zero, zilch. I wish there were but all speakers are different. It's translation which counts (which is what you are looking for anyhow).

The Focal Twins currently do it for me, they do it for a lot of folks, I find that I work fast and accurately. Tough to say that would be the same for you, but more than likely a good reach in my experience. They allow me to hear delicate balances and "space" around individual elements and somehow I can just gel them together better...

There's no "one" answer. Try a few contenders in your room and get a feel.
Speaker position, listening position, dac, amplification, treatment, listening levels, ..everything comes into play.

Finding the right speaker for your budget that will give you the best results is a personal decision. Good luck.
