does any other digital console work with protools ,except digidesign hardware?????
or, i have to use the software which comes with that digital console????

please give me some suggestion which one is good.

we have a yamaha 02r that we use as a midi controller with PT. It only has fader movement and mute. No panning, nothing else. Which really sucks, but for automation is way easier to work than a mouse. I wouldn´t recommend the 02r for that though, unless you will be using it for other purposes the midi controller function comes handy.

The yamaha DM1000/DM2000 and 02R96 have a pretty well implemented protools control template.

I'm using a Tascam US2400 with PT7 HD and it's working great for volume, pan, Auxes, etc. thumbsup

As far as controlling PT goes ... anything else then digi's own controllers will give you HUI midi control at best.

As far as the console side of things .... well .... whatever the console can do it will do I guess.
