Help me buy SCA pres! And maybe mics...

I just placed an order the other day for 2 N72's and today I'm going to buy 6 more modules to fill up the rack.

I can't figure out how many of what I should get though.
I mostly do Hardcore/Emo/Pop Rock type of stuff for now but don't want to be stuck doing that forever, I'd like to do a range of stuff eventually. So I want to have flexibility, but I also want to best stuff for what I currently do.

Right now the only other pre I have is the 4 CH Sytek, just sold my API 3124+ to fund this SCA purchase and figured the A12's would be fine for that same type of sound (many have said they prefer them over the real 512's for some apps but even if they're close it's okaay with me).

I was going to get 2 more N72's and 4 A12's because I figured the Sytek has me covered with clean pre's, but are the J99's in a whole different league soundwise? I think I read someone saying they made drum overheads huge.

So I'm definitely getting 4 of the A12's but should I go for 4 N72's or 2 N72's and 2 J99's? Do I want more Neve or more flexibility? What I'm really looking for is a drum sound like Folly or Taking Back Sunday, clean, aggressive and big sounding, not necessarily always like metal drums which are over the top a lot of the time. But I'm sure I'll be looking for that sound at some point too (which has a lot do do with samples anyway )

So I'm kind of torn because I'm lusting after a bunch of Neve's but not sure I actually need that many. What do 1073's sound PARTICULARLY good on in a drum kit? I mean I'm sure you could use them on the whole kit and it would sound great but if you only had 2 where would they go?

Also, a bit off the topic of SCA, but I'm trying to decide whether I should get 2 AT4047's for overheads or keep using my Oktava MK012's for that and get a 4047 and a Royer R121. Or maybe a different combo - any suggestions? I'm basically looking for a different flavor for vocals, I just sold my SP C1 and all I have now for vox is my SM7 and maybe the RE20. It would be nice the have that Royer for guitars too. I have about $1200 to spend for these mics and don't mind buying used. Maybe I should skip them both and get a Soundelux U195?? I can't decide. Here's my mic list:

SM57 (2)
RE-20
MK012 (2)
MXL 603 (2)
421 (2)
MD-504 (3)
e602
Yamaha Subkick
SM7
Beyer M201

Sorry if I'm giving you guys a massive headache...

Yeah I know, but thats the whole question, should I just get more neve's or should I get 2 neves & 2 J99's? Which would be better on bass, heavy guitars, toms, etc...More neve or more variety? Or does the Sytek cover the flavor that the J99 would bring...

Well, you guys have been some help!

I went ahead and ordered 1 more N72, 1 J99, and 4 A12's.
So I have 3 Neve flavors, 1 Jensen flavor, and 4 API flavors. I figured I should at least have 1 J99 because people are raving about it on Vox and Bass.
So here's what I figure I'll use them on, of course I have to hear them and see if it actually works out this way but as of now here's that plan:

N72 - Overheads, Snare
A12 - Snare Dbl (57 taped to Beyer M201), Kick Inside, Rack Tom, Floor Tom TOP
J99 - Yamaha Subkick
Sytek - Room, Floor Tom BOTTOM, Snare UNDER
DIGI002 Pres - Snare Trigger, Floor Tom Trigger, HiHat, Scratch Guitar

------------------

So that's settled, now do you guys have any advice for me on the mics?
