What tube to change the sonic character of?

Greetings gentlemen..... I don't know much about tubes, so here we go....

I'm looking to thicken and smooth out my Manley Ref. Cardiod... Darken it up some as well with a little more flavor by swapping out the tube... What tube would you recommend for the job? I'm aiming for a U67 meets U47ish direction. I know it won't be exact... just in the same direction.

Brian Lucey recommended a 6072A... I'm curious as to what your advice would be... being that I don't want to pester Brian, the fact I know squat about tubes... and that I trust what this community has to say...

Let me know what you think.....
