after making a computer animated farce out of the lord of the rings, it's only natural that this monkey of a director would make a film about himself.

DIGITAL SUCKS!!!

Maybe I`m a big sucker but I thought LOTR was pretty amazing.

I guess it`s not the same as the gigantic arm they made in the 30`s version but it looks a lot cooler and more realistic in my opinion.

Last night, I got to take a guided tour through Park Road Post, which is Weta Digital's Post Production Facility, and where they mixed King Kong and the LOTR movies. It was truly an amazing experience... I'm just a DAW-brandishing monkey that doesn't know anything, but seeing their working environment was so inspiring.

They have three mix rooms, which are basically the most plush, five-star movie theaters you could imagine, each with million+ dollar Euphonix desks, and each with the most amazing acoustics. I saw a few snippets of the Kong stuff, and it looked really impressive - I mean, these people have loads of money...

I also saw the foley and ADR rooms, and they were equally impressive. I didn't quite take notes, but if anyone has any questions, I have a reasonable memory, so ask away...
