Well yeah, please let me know what you found out. I actually had 2 different Arabellas and both made too much noise. I changed the tubes several times but that did not improve anything. A friend bought an Arabella some time ago and had the same problem. Noise all over the place. So that's already 3 Arabellas making too much noise. I mean - great mic and such, but to be honest with you no other boutique mic I have tried (and I really tried a LOT!!!) had such a loud noisefloor like my Arabella.

Today I record my acoustic guitar with the arabella and I not hear some anormal noise... I record fyngerstile and the mic need some gain but I d´ont hear noise or a preocupant noise floor. In the XXI century It´s rare and stupid design a mic with the best components and a bad electronic implementation...????

WHo are you? It's one thing to say you have noisy Arabella's but if this is the case, send them back for a warranty service? There are at this point in time Hundreds of Arabella's that are in daily use worldwide and have no issues with noise whatsoever. the A weighted equivalent noise of the Arabella is 14db which is a very acceptable level for a tube microphone. If you do indeed have noisy Arabella's then please send them back so i can fix them. cheers.

I've never found any of your mics to have a noise floor issue - for the record.

@Tuberizer: Yes, by all means send it back to Ben. Even though you'll have to pay shipping, it's well worth it if your mic is noisy. My Arabella started making some awful "bad tube" whooshing sounds after I'd had it for a couple months. Sent it back to Ben (after a lot of email miscommunications, admittedly) and he sorted it out. I love it - it beats out mics on a regular basis that cost more than twice what I paid for it.

On a recent session at 301 in Sydney, I put it up against their vintage 67s, just to see, and it definitely won by a mile. It was sort of an "apples vs. oranges" comparison, to be fair, but I know what kind of low-mid detail can be expected from a good 67, and the Arabella was missing none of it - just had more open tops (to be expected).

Lovely sounding (and looking!) microphone.

I'm having no noise issues with my Arabella... It's an absolutely gorgeous sounding microphone, and I couldn't be any happier.

It's a great sounding mic...... I'd love to get a Mahalia to try out..... and then which ever mic (between the Arabella/Mahalia) sounds better as a pair, I'd get a second one of.

However, I will always have the single Arabella around for vox, as it sounds fabulous on male voice.

I think the Producer Series mics are worth 3 of........ an Arabella and two Mahalia's maybe..... The Phelicity looks appealing, but I don't hear much about that microphone.

I'm really looking forward to a Producer Series version of the Tube LuLu.

I just needed to chime in. I have a Jade, and its an old one, and it is virtually silent. There are no noise complaints here.
