Thread Starter | Tascam DV-RA 1000
Like a lot of people, I'm interested in this machine. Basic PCM converters are supposed to be very good for the money, plus, of course, the machine can record in DSD. I was wondering could record on the machine in DSD mode AND AT THE SAME TIME utilize the S/PDIF out to record PCM on some other recorder that has S/PDIF in? |

Hi there, The Burr-Brown A/D chip (number escapes me at the moment) in the DVD-RA1000 is either DSD or PCM, but not both at the same time. I have one of these beasts- I really like it *and* I sure wish it had a hard drive in it! (Even if there was some way to use the USB port for this...) Best, Graemme Quote:

| burn DVD video
hello, I am very confused about... I need to buy a burner which can burn both cd and dvd.. could you tell me please if i can burn DVD video with DV-RA1000HD? thank you  neonbird
