Pictures of Cello/Hit Factory

Does anyone have any good pictures from Cello or Hit Factory?

I'm trying to gather a collection of good pictures of these studios, as both of them are "shut down". Considering their history, I thought it would be nice to have some pictures of them 20 years from now.

Feel free to e-mail them to me if you don't want them posted on here

Thanks in advance

Yeah... "mental" pictures.

Maybe 20 years we will have camera's that can extract memories.

Sorta like that movie with Robin Williams"The Final Cut".

good lookin Lindell, but it seems as though a lot of those are from the Hit here in Miami, which is still open... i think he's looking for Hit Factory in NY pictures.

By the way did they install the Naval ship type elevator like they had in NYC?

It was actually one of the coolest things about the Hit Factory here.

Randy,
Wont help with the .jpg's but have you checked out the Springsteen video Blood Brothers? Couple of hours of great footage in those rooms. I am not a big Bruce fan but it was quite interesting to watch him put those songs together. Worth the 29.95 especially now that those rooms are history.

I'll comb the archives for some Cello shots. I think I must have a handful of them. The original press shots looked amazing in medium format, and very true. The studio 2 shots had all of Jim Scott's "vibe" stuff pinned up. If I had a nickel for ever time I put that stuff up or took it down... what a great guy.

The good Criteria shots are the ones hanging on the walls of Hit Factory Criteria [ taken BEFORE the 9 mil 'renovation'...]

Sweet, I'll look into this. I think I could handle a couple hrs of Springsteen in light if what I might see

Somewhere you can print pictures from video. I've seen it on tv (the ring) so it's gotta be possible right?

haha

D Pinder,
If you dig up anything, please let me know. That would be great!

Hi

Here you go... one from my site....

******//www.auroraaudio.net/aa_html/n...ages/cello.jpg

This is a photo of the console that was there, but shown in an original Neve demo room before delivery. Alan always claimed it was an 8038 which was nonsense, it's a beautiful custom console with a huge cue mixer at the nearest end.

Hi Geoff. You came over once to help identify it and I was the guy who let you in to see it—thanks for all that history and insight. There wasn't anybody who recorded on that thing that didn't love it. I recorded a quickie BGV in that room one time with an SM57 and realised with horror that the vocal sound of the record would have been improved enormously if it were redone like that. Pure mojo.

Hi

Yes, I recall that.. I think I gave you a better picture... or perhaps senility strikes.

Very sad about the studio... I had a guy visit me (looked like a surfer type) that informed me he was going to buy it and put his EMI consoles in there. Sadly, that didn't materialise.

I see it's still advertised on the equipment list as an 8028.... I think Alan thinks that if he repeats something often enough it will be the truth!
