Universal Audio or SPL?

Hi all,
I want to add to my recording chain. At the moment I go with my SM7B and my Ibanez baritone guitar (through DI) into a Duet to Cubase. I am very happy with the clean sound of the Duet, but look for something to add a bit of grit and dirt sometimes. Especially something that would already spice up the guitar DI signal before it goes into my amp sims (at the moment GR4 and Waves GTR Solo, thinking about either Softube Metal Amp Room or IK's Amplitube Metal, still need to play around with the demos to see if I want one of those. Oh, my musical style - somewhere between Jimmy Eat World and Breaking Benjamin).
I looked at those options:
SPL Gainstation
UA Twin Finity
UA Solo 610
On the first two, I like the thought of being able to blend the tube in to my liking.
I have heard good things about the Gainstation, but heard it sounds "too clean" for really spicing things up... I also heard good things about the Twin Finity especially about adding the tube into the DI, but have heard i is a bit cheap and plastic and the tube sounds bad on vocals (too dirty, more like a real overdrive effect)... and I heard good stuff about the 610 Solo but wonder how versatile it is.
Any comments on these three units would be very much appreciated.
