I'm so jealous I almost cried when I saw this. Awesome that you could find a unit of this calibre in good shape. What year is it and how does yours differ from the 88RS? Apologize for my ignorance. Here I am with my Yamaha PM-1800 32x8 that I don't even mix on really(that is, until I can afford to have enough channels modded by Jim Williams).

I don't get it?......I have this same board in my UAD Cards....what's the big deal?

I will make a deal with you....Since the plug-ins sound "Exactly" like your board....I will trade you for free to save you some room in your space..Act fast becuase this "Awsome" deal will not be on the table for long!

Well I hope you have better luck with communication than we are having.
One would think after spending ALOT of money, you would have pretty instant support, especially when dealing with a major artist.
I don't care to go into details publicly, but we've been very disappointed with service and fulfillment of contractual agreements.

update:6/15/10
I was contacted overnight by AMS-Neve and looking forward to getting a few things sorted out.
The power of GS is nothing to sneeze at!

Ok.. so it looks ace... but how is it sonically different from the VRX you had before?

I'd say it's more open and dynamic sounding. Not as thick and mushy as the VX. Excellent clean and tight mix bus. Incredible eq and dynamics. Puts the VX to shame

Coming from the VX you didn´t have to change too much in cabling and infrastructure, did you? Tell us a bit about the studio transformation! Thanks a lot!!!

Exactly. The patchbay edac pinouts is the same, so the installation was very easy.

Aw, no need to brag. I have a friend who has a Eurorack and an accordion. All together, that's just about as many buttons (or close).

Well, oh... congrats just the same.

I know a studio with a Genesis with very similar issues.

Man... and I was happy having my ASP8024 installed.

Congrats!!!!

Sounds great! Ready for Mastering! Except for delays and reverbs you could now sell all your outboard gear!

Hey Tobias, congrats from Germany! What an amazing console! Actually, I always thought "why don't they use something better that the VXS" as I am not really a fan of those Neve V** series. But the 88R is a different story tho...

Your studio "rocks"! Great mix also! Compressed like hell, but that suits the song perfectly. Is there an album coming?

Best regards,
Hannes
