Still haven't received our Shadow Hills compressor

I would PM Lucey.... he does great mastering work and stays very "up" on the ever-growing options in gear.

Hmm.. I thought you already received SHMC. Now, delivery period is 8 weeks, but is it for real?

Also, I didn't read any first-hand review on GS, just exalted expectations.

Can somebody who use this gear throw more light on subject

I'm sure his English is much batter then your Russian, anyway..
That was not very friendly post of yours.
And for what reason? - None.
Let's try to be a little more respectful 2ppl if we're real slutz here.

He actually was "complimenting" GYang on his correct use of "complement." Maybe you should look up "complement" and "compliment" and get back to us.

Here, I'll do it for you:

Complement: Something that fills up, completes (a big hint as to why it's spelled like it is), or makes perfect.

Compliment: An expression of esteem, respect, affection, or admiration.

"That was not a very friendly post of yours."

Indeed.

Cheers,

Thank U.
My incomplete English getting me in troubles quite often.
Yes that was a compliment.
And it was completely cool of RKrizman to say that compliment.
Don,
U're complete genius.

Seems you're right, it was my impression that some lucky slutz already got theirs.
I placed order recently, too, but certain inscrutability continues.

For lexical quirks, RKrizman, you're right, I make errors and due to busy production schedule don't have free time to brush up my English other than here on GS. So, apologize to all in advance. By the way, it's hard to imagine how STC-8 could compliment SHMC.

Firstly GYang, your english is impressive and there is no need to apologise. I'd hate to see some of us (me included) trying to type in Russian on a forum. Then you'd see people who should apologise (myself included).

I will report my review when I receive the Shadow Hills MC. Best of luck!

Привет на базе!

Откуда у тебя такой, я бы сказал, шикарный английский?!

У меня такое подспудное впечатление,
что ты вобщем-то и не в Москве,
но выглядит прикольно.

Watzup!

How come U got such a cool English, body?!

Actually, I think U might be not even in Moscow,
but sure it's fun to go this way online.
Undercover..

It's definitely a scary tubish looking piece..
Please correct me if I'm wrong guys - there is no tubes in there -
Is that so?

Looks like they have "knowhow" how to make
chip circuits distort like tubes,
In a Distressor sort of way, right?

Well, anxious to have your first hand impression on it.

I like the Pendulum Vari Mu doing 1 db, and then the RMS Super Stereo Compressor at 1.5:1 autorelease doing another 1.5-2db of gr. For rock stuff thats the balls, for jazz and classical I would engage the 150 hz sidechain filter from the RMS.

OFF THREAD

FINISH

It was just reply in Russian to another Russian gearslutz. Good to see more and more international spirit on this forum.

Also, thanks for all replies related to initial question.

Thanks, but English basic international language of dialogue, so it would be time to all here (at us) to learn to speak. And the doubt is vain, I in Moscow, and can likely not without pride to tell, we try to support the high quality standard that we do(make), in difference from weight of colleagues which only look as though бабло on faster to cut down, from what the average level clearly limps.

This is what they said.. e

Actually very cool story.
Well, with no intention to exaggerate stuff,
we can find some ppl from Russia and former SU in US.
Especially second and third generation who made their
noticeable marks in the biz.
Sometimes mixed families of course.

As much as I know,
starting from
Gershvin brothers,
Stravinsky, Balanchine(not exactly a biz though)
Bob Dylan
Phil Spector(pardon me)
Lenni Kravitz
Billy Joel
James Pankow(Chicago)
Cher(Armenian)
Michael Bolton
Jazz
Valeri Ponamarev(Art Blacky..)
Boris Kozlov, Alex Sipiagin (Mingus Band)

Some Hollywood

Steven Spielberg
Dustin Hoffman
Michael Douglas
Harrison Ford(mother)
David Duchovny
Sean Penn
Winona Rider
Milla Jovovich

and so on..

I'll stop here, otherwise it's ridicules,
and so out of topic.
Sorry.

Just one more name I have to mention, please - Lev Sergeivitch Termen.
This is where our Bob Moog started his really revolutionary developments
of modern synthesizers.
He will always remain in our memories..

So..

What did you say about Shadow Hills?!
Pardon me, can't hold myself lately.
peace..
abit

PS.
No way I was trying to stress bla bla superiority of Russians,
but yes, I have a reason to feel proud of these facts.
And pardon my terrible English, please.
Am I complete our I'm complitely.....complimentary... -
it's not that ez, Uknow.

Deluxe Pre with Summing...

Not the compressor, but just thought I'd pipe in and say I too am still waiting for the Deluxe. Seems it has been pushed yet again for another month....However VK was cool and are sending me a Chandler TG2 to fill my empty rack space since I already sold the gear to pay for the Deluxe months ago....
