| Gear nut | Harrison Pro-7 Hi there, I'm looking for someone in the Atlanta area who can take a look at a Harrison Pro-7 desk to see if it needs servicing. Does anyone here have experience with this baby or heard of anyone else that has? Does anyone know of a good tech in that area? I'm just starting out recording stuff since I've been on the other side of the desk for a long time and at the price ($800) it seemed like a good first step. Or is it? Some broker in Dallas claims they went for $40k in the eighties but that sounds like a lot of money to me. He also told me that the pre's were up there with the Neves and SSL's but I guess after reading some of the threads here this can be categorised as 'power sales talk' right? Anyway, I'm new at this and eager to learn. Hopefully someone can help me out. Cheers! |

| Harrison tech Try Allan Waugh. He's in Tennessee (not convenient, but it might come to that), used to work for Harrison, and he resurrected my TV-3. His number is 615-300-0986. My name's Eric Tischler if he asks. Real nice guy. FWIW, the TV-3 pres are, to my ears, similar to Syteks: not quite as fast, but a lot punchier, yet still somewhat similar (dark in the same way, yet detailed) -E |

| Lives for gear | I'd call Chick at Atlanta Pro Audio. 404-329-9494. He'll definitely be able to refer you to some local techs, I would imagine.

| Gear nut | Thanks to all of you. FWIW, there's a Harrison Pro-7 listed on ebay right now that looks exactly like mine except that mine has 16 channels, 4 groups and 2 master modules. Actually there are two Pro-7's listed. I'm talking about the one with the Buy It Now price of $5.999. Hell, I'll try and attach a pic. Cheers! Peter |
