Current Production hardware compressor for mix and tracking

After all your guys help! I need help!

I want to purchase a current production hardware compressor that I can us on Mix Buss and Tracking Vocal, and drums.

I originally thought I wanted color but I want a good compressor that makes the music swing etc...

Im thinking a Fatso for color...

but so far I am thinking the Drawmer 1968 for all duties ?

PERFECT!

Oh man, I use my Universal Audi LA610's for everything. I've got a pair so I use 'em on vocals and drums going in, on the mighty drum bus and on the mix bus when I'm ready to mix.

They work as compressors and limiters, plus have a massive gain stage for the tubes.

I freakin love the 610's for everything

The Aurora Audio GTC2 is an awesome, and quite flexible, compressor. It doesn't have a side chain input as does the Drawmer, but I don't know why you would need that for tracking drums, vox, or mix bus duties.
Check it out:

On the mix bus, I love the Pendulum es-8, and the QES Labs Variable-Gm.
Tube compressors.
I posted a shoot-out thread here.

is the QES Labs Variable-Gm like the Manley Vari-Mu... I think the Manley is amazing sounding, but possibly a little colored but amazing!

A Designs Nail - You'll wonder how you ever lived without it. In fact, there's another thread going right now on the Hammer and the Nail where people are saying exactly that.

Not much similar as the manley.
Probably I prefer the manley vari-mu on tracking...
On the stereo bus I much prefer the QES Labs Variable-Gm a long way more over the Phoenix and the Chiswick Reach.
The mastering version is superb.
Yes, they all are a bit coloured, but personally I like what they do.
We are talking about top notch units in any case.
