Lexicon PCM 70 programs

Are there any settings available online or anywhere that I can get to program some additional patches?

Are you looking to expand the PCM70, or revise the standard set of programs? This unit is not nearly as expandable/flexible as the 80/90 series of processors.

The PCM 70 is one peice of gear that I have a love affair with.

I have developed quite a rapport with it and I must say that those of you that haven't gotten past the Tiled Room are really missing out.

The longer Halls are some of the best Hall reverbs I have ever heard for acoustic and electric guitars. Very ethereal and amazing if you are into the darker ambient treatments like Lanois/Eno.

I also love the inverse reverb. I record it to a track and then shift it back so that it swells into the sound source and it is ghostly.

I also own and Eventide H8000 and an AMS RMX.

I still like the reverb of the PCM70 better. Love the moving modulating decay of the Lexicon. It's what they are known for. ot the most realistic reverbs but the most musical and inspiring.

Jim,

I think I'm talking about revising the existing programs - adjust the parameters. I jjust wonder if there are some cool parameter adjustments that pro users have documented for others to see on line.

And since you mentioned it - can the presets be expanded or changed?

Thanks,

Woods

I love my 70 a lot! *BUT* (and this is going to sound so....um I dunno... pre-school 'cause I've only been doing this since '81 professionally) I find the 70 a bit difficult to navigate around.

Or should I say I can never remember the layout of banks/rows/columns/presets etc...

I've got a 224XL/480/300/Orville/PCM42 and the 70 is somehow trickier than all of them.

Can you guys recommend a mental trick or verbal exercise in one sentence that sums up the navigation that I can remember for this thing that's fast and easy?

Like; Banks/Presets/Algo's/Parameters

Or should it be:

Rows/columns/seats?

I know *sigh* it sounds whacky - but I have developed some kind of mental block whenever I'm under the gun and have to quickly program the thing - swishhhhh out comes the manual.
