Hey Dave, we sell these and have a return policy ya know!

Better deal to be had in pairs too.

Great EQ, did you check out my audio clips and video?

It's all in the Clipalator.

So here is mine as of today.

First of all, my very personal take on classic console EQs. All of them are hard wired to my LiLo console. There is just something very beautiful about these good old console EQs...

Secondly, my lunchbox with 4 slots to fill (probably with two pairs of Electrodyne and API preamps).

The Pendulum De-Esser is actually S/N 001. Between the people requesting this module it seems I have been the most convincing. So more than one year ago Greg not only promised to build that module, but also to sell me S/N 001 - and he kept his word. How cool is that!
I have always loved the Quartet De-Esser, and this is now probably the best sounding De-Esser for the 500 format. If this would have been available already many years ago, I might have jumped on the 500 series bandwagon much earlier...

Waouh, nice modules 901, and good job.

I guess Igor's modules don't come as complete kits ?

Wow, that sure is really cool! I must say I don't use de-essers that often and I understand this one is a real niche in the market, but it has caught my eye before so if i ever need one I hope they still make them.

Your place is coming along nicely! (understatement!)

Thanks!

I found this old thread I started in 2007: De-Esser for 500 system?

This was long before I bought my first 500 series units, and I can remember clearly that if the Pendulum 500 De-esser had been available back then, I would have bought a lunchbox immediately. So this whole story comes to full circle for me now, even though it's almost five years later...

Anyone interested in a 500 series de-esser should check this one out. I like it a lot!

I think they did, but they might be sold out. See
1176 in 51x/500 format, or 51X-F76 Build Support Thread

I built from PCB + front + bracket. I could publish my Mouser BOM if anyone´s interested.

API 4-space Lunchbox

I have this posted for sale in the classifieds but couldn't get pictures attached to the ad for some reason. It has an original 550 3-band and a 512C with "Huntington" 2520's. Thanks.

Just picked up a Inward Conections Brute to go along with my pair of Anamod 660's. Not slutty enough to post a pick with the big boys, though. I'm not worthy..hah

Heyman,
Just picked up a Brute and thinking about the Anamod- great minds think alike! For me the Brute is a great cleanish vocal comp and seems to love things that are distorted. When you've had a chance to play around with both I'm wondering if you'll find they compliment eachother well. Thinkin' they just might!

Very cool. The Anamods to me are very true sounding. They don't color to my ears and I like them on vox or anything that needs something extra. I don't know what it is, but it just sounds better on the way out.

Cant wait to try the brute out this weekend.

Yeah, Radial... I got a reallllllly sweet deal on the Workhorse and just jumped right in, replaced a bunch of gear I had... Some DIY in the future for sure. Maybe just 6 VP26 and 2 1073-ish somethings....

BTW, even though it's not as slutty as the Magnums or as evening-gown high-class as the MA5s OR has been around the locker room as much the ole' cougar 512c, I am fully enjoying the time I'm spending with the PowerPres.

Gave the Brute a work out all day. Defintely diggin this Compressor. Great mix of vibe and polish. Loved it on Vox and Bass. Even with ton's of Gain Reduction - it didn't sound unnatural.
Basically set and forget.

Nice! I agree with that, and will add that you can get the vibe without crushing the signal- I hear it around 5-7db. Of course, sometimes pinning the needle is just the thing, although I then arrange for something with a lot of gain to follow it. That 250 hpf is also really worth playing with!

Any suggestions to complete this Roadster?

Is anyone using the Aural Exciter yet?
