Best 1/4" patchbay? (non WECO)

I'm looking for the best 1/4" (TRS non WECO/mil) patchbay.

What for? For interfacing my pile of pedals and other cheapo equipment with the racks without having to patch them in all the time.

I want the best- best quality jacks n' stuff. The bay can be unbalanced.

Try Mr. Patchbay:

He always seems to have good stuff...including ADC. I personally haven't dealt with him, but he's been in business for a while.

good luck,

yeah balanced is the way, and get some DI boxes, cheap ones if you have to. you can always upgrade..

now for those patchbays- Re-An (or rebadged Re-An) or Klotz. Neutrik seems to do the job too, here, but feels a bit more unrefined. I like refined in a patchbay. I like unrefined in other things. (basslines)

I wanted unbalanced because this is a cheapo bay for cheapo unbalanced gear.

It really doesn't matter.

I'll check out rean or klotz. Thznk

yeeeech. plastic bolts..

that's gotta be one of the worst case designs i've ever seen. makes the behringer stuff look like fort knox.

i've had pretty good luck with the behringer PX3000.. seems well built so far. I also have the PX1000 which looks like a ripoff of the Re'an/Neutrik design.. it's about 100x more well built than the DBX PB48... only problem is that the manual is USELESS and the cards default to being normalled... the 3000 has switches for setting the normals.

Ya, cheap and handy. I've got several of them. The only problem is that the normalling switches are on the top of the unit, and can be inadvertantly moved to a different position by adjacent modules when sliding in/out of a rack. Otherwise, good for Behringer (oh God.. did I really say that?) .
