Haven't used a Forssell, but I recently sold a pair of older hi-gain 101's. I opted for a Buzz MA-2.2 for my "clean" choice, and didn't need more than two channels. The Grace's are a very good bargain, are extremely clean and fast, and have excellent headroom. In one mic & pre shootout I did with a voiceover friend who had just purchased a Pearlman TM-1, we were both very surprised and impressed with how the Grace held up against my other "color" pres. Like any good transformerless pre will do, it simply allowed the sound of the mic to be heard. Not low end.

I wouldn't consider the Grace to be low-end, but then again I never could understand the low-end, mid-end, high-end stuff since some stuff that's pretty expensive works like junk, and stuff that is priced more moderately works as good as equipment costing 2X as much.

The M101 is one of those pres that's a great value for anyone looking for a clean sound. I've done at least 20+ voiceovers with one in the chain and I've been very impressed (mostly used with AT 4050s and U87 and U87AIs; one or two 414s).

I don't have one in my racks, but if Santa left one in the studio I wouldn't be complaining one bit.

Unfortunately, I haven't used a Forssell so I can't give you an A/B opinion. That said, I'll say what I always say whenever someone asks questions like the OP: getting some info from other 'slutz is a good start, but nothing beats A/B'ing the two in your own place if you can (or at least in a proper studio setting).
