Euphonix Transport Report

Just got my new Euphonix Transport from Sweetwater under the 3 payment plan. Watch out! They charge $10 for the privilege of doing the 3 pay plan. Still a great plan for this recession.

As usual Sweetwater delivers right on time - Big Kudos!

The Transport is a VERY beefy piece of gear. The Metal Knob feels wonderful - and I do mean good - sexy good.

The buttons work.

Will report back.

Are you sure you didn't get a Transport?

So far this thing is all that and a bag of chips.

Love the wheel.

Yep this thing is the bomb.

I am able to assign mutes, solos, record arms - every thing from every button.

The knob is spectacular as well.

I can use a special mode called the assignable knob and click on any thing in Logic and BOOM I can control most things with the knob. WOW!

However... you can not scrub with the outer ring yet in Logic 9.

It seems that a software rewrite needs to be done to fix this.

Sounds like a nice feature. How hard is it to assign things to the soft keys?

Good to hear. Can't wait until I can get one of these. I'll probably start with the Mix, then get the transport after I have at least 2 Mixes.

Scrubbing is broken for controllers in Logic 9.02 and 9.01. Euphonix is waiting on a fix.

Sigh......

So the outside ring, which is designed for scrubbing, is useless for now as a scrubber.

The really bad thing is that we have to wait for Apple Logic to make the fix. Ya..... that will be a while.

I'll be happily surprised if a fix comes soon. But often times these things take months or are NEVER resolved.

Trimming the head and tail of regions is not yet resolved either.

Love this thing --- but still not quite all there yet.
