rosetta ad96 versus newer 192 version.. difference?

If i didn't need to record over 96k is the ad 96 (dark grey face) basically the same sound as the new rosetta 200 192 or have they improved it at all since then.

surprisingly the dynamic range specs seem pretty closely in line, but wondering about any differences soundwise from anyone who has used both.

im currently borrowing a 192 version and i like the sound.

I owned the older one and sold it for the Ensemble.

I do believe they are different designs (Give a call to Apogee and let us know.). - however will you actually hear a difference worth the extra cash?

Personally, I believe these are both top notch devices and you will be HARD pressed to tell the difference between the two in a blind test.

My vote is to spend cash other places where you will hear a bigger difference.
