advice needed: 24 channel TDIF to ADAT converter

hello all,
i am looking for a 24 channel TDIF to ADAT converter.
i know of the otari UFC 24, and cant seem to find one for sale.

is there anything else out there that does this?

would someone be able to build me one perhaps?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rme DD8 or Rme Ds(I've got the nuendo faceplate version once).
8 channels each unit,so U need 3.

Friendchip modular digital patchbay with the right modules.

I don't know the price U've planned for this, just a couple units I've used on my own for such purpose(even for just 8 channels for me).
If U only need 48k operation, old Rme(not the 96k version)unit'd be find quite cheap today.

For Radar not doubt...

...an inexpensive way that I've used in the past is a MOTU 2408. In 'stand alone mode', they can do 24 tracks simultaneously without a computer. They go for cheap on eBay.

USED IZ TECH UFC-24 UFC24 UNIVERSAL FORMAT CONVERTER - eBay (item 290367149851 end time Dec-05-09 12:11:52 PST)

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/gears...an-studio.html

tekis is right on with the motu 2408. works great. can be a bit clunky as a computer interface...but just as a TDIF to ADAT converter...its a no-brainer....cheap on the used market.

i have used one with one of my radar 2's to get tdif digital out to ADAT out into my protools mix rig adat bridge.

good luck.

the radar 2's are the best deal out there. i never work over 48k...so they work GREAT for me....and i just love the classic converters....just sound RIGHT to me.

will have to say hey next time i'm in chi-town.

i pm'd you my email.

cheers !
