API 525

I am looking to buy a 10 slot API rack soon which I will slowly begin filling. I have never used the 525 Compressor before and I just wondering if anyone has had any good/bad/indifferent experience with these units. I don't usually see them being talked about all that often in this forum (hmmm, maybe I am answering my own question ), thanks.

My favourite vocal compressor bar none.
And many SINGERS' favourite compressor even if they don't know it!
Because it's the one I can put on a vocal that works perfectly yet WITHOUT the singer getting bugged by it.

I've heard of several engineers that say the same thing but have never had any luck with it on vocals myself. Seemed that I wasn't finding it's sweet spot. Do you mind sharing how you set it up?
Thanks,
Steven
