Looking for a High-End Portable Media Player

We've all bought or seen those 10$ MP3 players. But what about playing the very high bit rate .wav files on a high quality portable media player equipped with a 5-10 band *manual* (custom) EQ ? Are there any such devices which are A) ultra small and B) *don't* have a video screen (in case one isn't needed) ?

It seems that in the 21st century there are not any 24 bit .wav portable media players, which are strictly for listening (not viewing).
