recommendation for house rental near London for recording project

Looking for a nice house i can rent for 3 months for a recording project. Ideally, it has to be within an hour from London.
I will bring my own PT HD / Tonelux rig and will be getting a D-command when i arrive in London.

Ok, the first thing you need to find out is WHERE in London, if you start on the wrong side it can take you an hour just to get across or around it.

The second thing to point out is that most private lettings will be looking for longer term lets, however there are companies that tender to shorter periods, I did a quick google search of "uk short term rental" and for example this link popped up..

There's always Jane Seymour's place in Bath (1.5 hours) - not sure if it's still rentable for recordings or not. Might be a tad over budget though at £28K per week!

I know people who have used

Citadines aparthotels: serviced apartments for short term accommodations in major European cities centers and now in the heart of Shanghai and Bangkok.

might be worth a look

Looking at the answers others have given, and your original posy, I've realized we're not qiuite clear on on something.

I was thinking you were looking for somewhere to stay while you did a recording somewhere else.. but your mention of gear says you might actually be looking for somewhere to do the recording in?

In which case some idea of what you need (size, amenities, vibe) might help, no point in us pointing you to sites for nice urban aparthotels when acually you're looking to hire Littlebollock Manor deep in the countryside so you, the band, the roadies and a selection of groupies can get away from city distractions and record in the ballroom.
