i'm running a photo reportage series for a german pro audio magazine, and that's why i have carried my camera bag to a healthy number of top studios. at this time i can't yet say i've seen them all, but i travelled extensively in the past years. i have been in such a variety of cool places, from the attic of "the village" down to the capitol echo chambers in the basement of the tower. not to mention abbey road, compass point and so on...

One gets to see pictures of these studios all over the place...

BUT

there is something different and special about:

— seeing them all together at the same time
— seeing them through the eyes of the same person

Both of those things, but especially the latter, lend the experience something that is unattainable from just seeing various pictures in different publications over the years.
