OD button on 8068 MK11??

Can anyone tell me what the OD button next to the solo button on a 32430 routing module on a Neve 8068 console is for?

I've been reading the manual but can't seem to find it's purpose.

Cheers

It's the "overdub" button which is used when you want to put a channel into "input" when the rest of the desk is in "mix". It's only used about once or twice a decade... but when you need it, it's a damn handy function to have.

Peace.

It's a life saver when you are mixing and the artist gets a spur of the moment idea that he/she needs to lay down at the last second.
