| Digidesign 192 I/O vs 96 I/O Ok, Just wanted to hear some opinions . Using an 02R96 and 192 I/O digital, wanted to get an Digidesign analog I/O, I know that the 192I/O is better then the 96I/O but would it make a difference if I work in 96 ? shouldn´t they sound the same at 96k ? mac

| Lives for gear | when they first dropped, everyone said the 192 was better than the 96, but you still see several studios with the 96's. I even think someone said that the 192 at 48k was still a little better than the 96 at 96k, i maybe wrong. and some said the digi-002 AD was a bit better than the old 888/24's

| For whatever reason the 192 sounds better to me at 96k than the 96 does at 96k. I haven't compared them at 48, because once i determined that 96k sounded better, I haven't had any reason to record at 48k.

| If you have 192 IO clocking the 96 IO I'm sure it would be fine. I have a 192 IO and I hired a 96 IO and I couldn't really tell the difference @ 48khz recording. The 96 IO is 1/3 cost of the 192 IO that's goina sway you surely. Nick |
