SUMMIT TLA100 good vocal tracking compressor?

Hi there any of you guys use this?

What are you experiences?

While you could have just done a search... I'll save you the trouble and say it's one of the best no-brainer, set & forget vocal tracking comps around.

The Summit TLA100 is a sleeper, you can get it "cheap" used.

You can not go wrong with TLA100 or CLB1 (Tube Tech) as a tracking compressor!

I recently purchased one from GearOrphanage. When I got it, the bulbs were burned out. 2 days later, I had them in the mail free from Summit Audio. It also had a cheap Chinese tube which I replaced with a NOS Telefunken. Sounds great. Very Smooth and Transparent. One of my favorite vocal compressors for tracking. I havent tried it in the mix yet. Replace the stock tubes with a low noise tube and you are good to go...

I use one constantly...not just for tracking vox, but acoustic guitars and electric bass as well. It's one of my major go to pieces.
