Yes, funny you mention that...I used to have a rehearsal space in boston that was in the same building as new alliance...It wasn't untill I moved out of the building that I checked out the studio...The building is right across the street from fenway park.

A man by the name of Alvin was in charge, didn't know him to well, but he always said hi and seem to have a smile on his face.

Hmmmmm....

A friend of mine recorded there about ten years ago with his band.

I`ll ask him about it and see if he`s got any info.

Later on we were in a band together and had a rehersal space right up the street from there across from the Supermarket.

There were two engineers at New Alliance who were probably responsible for the records you mentioned, the first being Andrew Murdock and the second being Andrew Schneider. I've heard recent stuff done there and its.. its... well lets just say that the two Andrews are very talented engineers. MUDROCK as he is called is responsible for most of the Godsmack stuff.

i did guitars/bass/vocals on a record there about four years ago. soundcraft board, mci tape machine, a few choice pieces of outboard (daking pre's, don't remember much else.)

while i was happy with what i got out of it, the isolation between control room and studio was atrocious. especially hard for loud bass/gtr recording.

i agree with what the previous person said, which is that the Andrews are very good at what they do. but New Alliance is still a decent place.
