6 slot API Launchbox question

Hi all,
anybody had some power supply problems with 6 slot API Launchbox and a Great River 500 pre ?

Nope. I have three GR's in a 6 slot. Never a problem.

No problem with mine. I've heard the Chandler pres can be a problem but never the GR.

That's correct, the Germ 500 has even been discontinued becasue it did not work correctly in the 5006B. There's never been an issue with the Great River to my knowledge.

A couple manufacturers have exceeded the power requirements for the 500 series 5 slot frame and tend to blame the frame for their lack of ability to stay within the stated parameters of the capability of the frame... and then blame the frame for their short comings.

The frames on their own work really well... some modules don't work well in those frames which has more to do with inadequte design of the modules than it does the inadequacies of the frame [I'm thinking more of a certain pre-amp made by a company other than Chandler as I write this so please don't take this as "Chandler bashing"].
