| Do you Eq/shape sampled drum sounds while tracking??
Im speaking to the guys that use sampled drums, not live drums. Do you EQ your drum sound while tracking the music? Play or shape the kick, snare? or you just put in what you have?
how do you stay away from distorting the sound or figure when to stop or when youre doing too much. like adding too much bass to the kick? or too much treble to the snare? do you just play by ear? i want to do some tracking, but don't want to give my engineer crappy recordings.
If you do, im curious to what you guys are using for your setup. i would like to invest in a 500 series EQ if its worth it. Any recommendations in 5series would be super helpful. thanks.
