Thread Starter | anyone have a modded lexicon primetime?
i recently picked up a used lexicon primetime on ebay. unit sounds and looks mint. i have never owned one before and i spent some time with it last night. in using it i noticed that the "delay a" channel input has been routed to "delay b" output slider in the output mixer. the delay a output slider gets no signal at all . essentially you control both delay a and delay b inputs on the delay b output slider. at first i thought the unit was broken but now it seems it was probably modded this way otherwise this doesnt make sense. i havent opened it up yet to take a look . has anyone out there heard of people modding their lexicon primetime boxes in some sort of fashion? just wondering if this is a common mod or something like that. the unit still sounds killer like it is. since i have never used the unit before i would just learn to use as is. love the interface. very cool for experimentation. why dont they still build units like these? electric |

Is it the Primetime, Primetime II, Super Primetime? The one I use (PrimeTime II) has separate sliders on the input for A and B. The respective outputs (A and B) operate as you would expect. There are a few ouput options though, depending on how you connect it: there's the mixed delay output, which combines the outputs of A and B through the main output slider. Then you also have two more separate outputs for both A and B, bypassing the main ouput slider. (Remember) The Alamo |

hi alamo, its the basic primetime. it has seperate sliders for both a and b just like you stated for the primetime II version. however the only way to get the delay a into the output mix is through the delay b output slider. its impossible to get any signal through the delay a output slider. i still have to play with it some more but i'm pretty sure its been rewired somewhere. |
