Telefunen Tape Machine aligned for LGR50 - will PER528 work, too?

I am completely new to the whole tape thing and I just got a nice Telefunken M15A, in good shape and ready to go. The machine is aligned to LGR 50 tape, and I remember reading somewhere that this means PER528 can be also used with this alignment (PER528 is easier to get over here).
