hey reso - what kind of application? what you might choose for drum OH's would likely be quite different than what to choose for classical main pair.

the schoeps stereo mics (one is a fixed ORTF setup, and the other is a XY setup) are fine examples for classical and acoustic recording.

the soundfield mics, and new clones of that type of design, such as the core sound tetramic, are interesting alternatives.

however, most folks tend to opt for a pair of individual mics rather than a fixed stereo mic, due to more flexibility.

all that said, i think the AKG C426b is probably the best of the stereo mics, though i think that unit is now discontinued, and you would have to find a used one.
