Man Doug, you're taking a beating around here lately. Some very unhappy people that purchased Play and are voicing their opinions quite loudly in that other thread.

Sure seems like it would be a good idea for your public relations to try and temper the fire somehow. The silent approach doesn't seem to be working.

Best of luck with the studio.

That's not the purpose of this topic, but we have well over 200,000 PLAY product users that come back and purchase almost everything we release, which they wouldn't if nothing worked. If individual users have technical problems they should contact our tech support (techsupport@eastwestsounds.com).

I did write a response in that thread for those that are interested.

Cheers,

- DR

I am just so happy that this address is not now a condo development or a walmart. A huge thanks to the folks at East West for keeping the part of our recording legacy alive and kicking.

Cool!

If the Enterprise had a secret brothel (and you KNOW it did), then this is exactly what I imagine it would look like!

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Nice work. I think.

PS. I'll be contacting tech support at EW shortly.... While I love, respect and admire that you're keeping Cello alive, I am unfortunately not in the 'happy PLAY users' camp. I'm in the 'I'd buy more of their libraries if they didn't have that dang PLAY engine" camp.

I am the only one who hates green and purple lights. Those rooms are not a relaxing enviroment to be in. Your heating bill must be very high with those high ceilings. Piano room though is very nice, as well as the kitchen. Being from Nashville, I like the Blue Room down by me, and all the other studios on the street. They look and feel like a recording studio when you walk in, not some fancy futuristic hotel lobby.

Still I wish your studio the best success.

thrilled that 6000 sunset is still a studio and not a parking lot.

interior design reminds me of fever nightmares i had as a kid.

best of luck with it.

Mr. Doug:

Can I have a job? No, really... I'm 38 and I live in North Hollywood. I have kids and cars, houses and dogs. I'm reliable, I speak, read, and write English perfectly, and I don't screw up. Additionally, I speak/read/write Spanish. I'll be your loyal indentured servant.

Wishful thinking.

Nah, more like designed (or at least furnished) by someone who spent a lot of time shopping at Diva down at Beverly and Robertson!

What a great space you guys have created there. I hope that it succeeds; without spaces like that, the world is a crappier place!

I worked at the Enterprise for years, and never understood until now how Craig could afford to buy all that new gear!

not my cup of tea

i know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and im sure it sounds great but i just see a big bunch of tacky, and ultimately a whole lot of no-taste .. ( like someone was let loose in a cheap -crappy- design store), throwing every style at it because it has no style.. miami vice meets the renaissance meets the lion, the witch and the wardrobe..whoa!

again im sure it sounds sweet, which is really what matters here..

I disagree. I think it is like a cool fantasy land with lots of off the wall design themes that artists could actually draw inspiration from.

Quality and Neon-Fluro-Bordello Chic

Your willingness to invest in, upgrade and maintain one of the world's great recording facilities, particularly in light of the demise of others such as the Townhouse, is only to be respected and admired.

The top class equipment and Neon-Fluro-Bordello Chic 'Pimp yo' studio' interiors may well appeal to the bling rapper / R&B fraternity and should help to keep clients off any mind altering drugs
