Thread Starter | Bass Cabs, Guitar Cabs?.
Well chaps now I am fooling around with guitar cabs and speakers again. so I was thinking that the old 4 X 10 fender deville with eminence ceramic magnet tens and a telecaster had it in spades for clean with chime. So I got to thinking is there a four by ten that will sound fooking great with down-tune metal so I fiddled about with this engle power-ball that mesa dual rec and that old JCM 800 and a metal zone 2 and the old motherload to help it sing and now I have replaced the original Knackerd tens in my very old closed back fender 4 X 10 for BG 10-80 celestion drivers these are not very expensive bass guitar speakers but its a hell of a sound with a guitar with an emg type 81 and a dual rec. much better definition than the Marshall 1960 4 X 12 cab and even looses a little of the mesa fizz which is a good thing although the amp is running Mullard El 34 instead of 6L6 output tubes so isn't as fizzy as stock anyway. Anybody else liking these 10 inch bass drivers for guitar down-tune?.
