HEDD Triode

Anyone using it? Haven't found much use for it yet myself.

It's sort of destructive

Yeah- I second what you say on tracking/mixes.

I have found when mixing and treating kick/toms/snare- triode can thicken and dirty it up-if that is what is called for.

Other than that- I leave it off.

I never go past 9 or 10 oclock with the triode
If you can hear it it may be to much
unless you are looking for the dirt

I totally disagree. Triode rules. I generally keep it between 2.5-5. It can really bring the dirt, but that is what I like about it.

Hardly found much use for it.
I'm mostly using HEDD for mixdown or mastering. In both cases the option to add dirt occurs earlier in the work flow (on separate mix elements or via certain analogue compressors/ EQ's during mastering).. so no need for triod.
I can imagine that while tracking it might add something useful for some people, but there again.. usually not for me.
"Destructive" seems to sum it up.
