What's with all the old threads????

You guys must be really bored!!! Seems like every second thread was started two or three years ago? Is this a 2009 nostalgia thing??

Maybe people are *gasp* using the search function?

Nah, that'd be unpossible.

Guilty as charged. I wanted to make a comment about the Action and searched first instead of starting a new thread and added to an old one. I'll make sure to start a new thread next time without searching first!

Keep on using the Search function folks!

Instead of having 3-10 threads on a single unit, its nice when there's lots of info in one or two. Hence, why revisiting old threads is a good idea.

Everyone knows the vintage threads are better than the new ones. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

Absolutely... better to have old threads back on than repeating the same stuff all over again with new ones...!

The vintage threads have a kind of vibe you can't get with the new ones.

Sort of tubey. Is that a word?

I get warm fuzzies when people bump old threads because I know the search function has been used.

It makes up for all the times when I see a thread and think, "Holy shit, this has to be the 234087234507234057823045th time someone has asked this EXACT question and it's been answered the EXACT same way".

Gearslutz would be that much more awesome if old threads were bumped rather than new one's started. Centralization of information, keep all the info in a single thread... using the search function makes the search function more useful!

Nah, I think the word you're looking for is 'warm'. No? How about mojo?

Vintage this vintage that yada yada yada.

have you actually tried the UAD2 thread starter plugin?? no, i didnt think so.
auto generating threads like this one is definately the way forward. it requires no thought and gets everyone talking about nothing.

but its ok, you old-age pensionsers stick to your autotune-less tape, 2 inches up your arse. and continue working for peanuts. the big boys have got bucks to make.

Reminds me of that com ATT commercial where the kids want to use the new minutes instead of the old ones.

Anyway... I'm off to start another Pacifica thread...
