Bees Neez Jade Microphone

Hi all,

I just ordered me a U47 Style microphone from bees neez microphones. This is 'not' a U47 Clone but will sound just like one and more.

The main difference being that it has the added feature of multiple polar patterns, it uses the same tube and matching cinemag transformer.
Also worth mentioning is that (i'll call this a Bees Neez U47 Hybrid) I spoke with Ben from bees neez who designs and hand makes all their mic's, everything inside is top notch, paper in oil capacitors (which as you know cost a fortune, and sound much better) basically everything inside is top of the line cinemag transformers and point to point wiring.

I have some friends in Arizona that use tele U47's and ELAM251's, 2 of both and the usual suspects in Arizona, so i'll let you know how they hold up against those.

Anyways, these mics sound incredible, I was getting a AK47 Tele mic until I heard these clips posted, just thought i'd share the thread since it has a bunch of comparisons of the AK47 and the Jade by Bees Neez audio.

Pretty impressive, the sibilance and top end of the dfegadak47 really lost out I thought, and very clearly the bottom end did not have any meat (musical meat, not mudd!) in comparison to the Jade microphone.

There are other postings of the bees neez audio clips comparing to some peluso mics, and quite clearly it smashed them, leaving them cheap sounding in comparison (no offense to owners of the peloso's) i use my ears and it was very clear.

Anyways, check them out, the Little Wing clip down towards the bottom somewhere is a custom mic by Bees Neez audio, anyways they are all labelled on that posting.
