Pre-amp with same quality as the apogee duet?

Hi,

I`m searching for a pre-amp in the price range up to max. EUR 1000 that offers the same or higher pre-amp quality than the apogee duet. this pre-amp musn`t have conversion.

yeah, the all look very nice but what about the tc konnekt-series?

some claim the pre-amps in there were as good as the duet. no audible difference... so would be the konnekt 6,8, or 24D not a possible alternative to the apoogee duet?

You do understand that the Duet is just a couple of IC preamps right? Nothing special inside at all. For 1kEUR you can get a lot better preamps..

I'm not familiar with the preamps in the Apogee Duet. I imagine they're of the super clear variety. How would the FMR RNP compare to them? They're very inexpensive and sound amazing for the price, typically just under US$500.
