It's Official "ALL MCI Studio" Is Complete

After A year and countless hours on Gearslutz and the net and 6 hours on the phone with Randy Blevins (figuring out that the automation +8 screw was too long causing a short) My all MCI dream is complete....JH-636 JH-24 and a JH-110!!!!!!!!!
Now all we have to do is interface this with my DAW. Any tips suggestions are greatly appreciated.... After all we're just Kidz here scraping up a studio together. BTW I do have 2 lynx 1 already.

I've been working on getting my JH-110A in shape for the last 5 months. I can only imagine the suffering you've endured! Congrats!

I have a MCI 538C.
It is a work in progress.
Many, many caps to replace.

Your MYSPACE site says the JH-636VU cost $300K when new.
I have MCI price schedules from 1981 and no MCI consoles cost that much.

The August 1st, 1981 MCI Price Schedule lists a JH-636-36-GO/VU (your console) at $51,422.00.
If it had automation it would have cost $58,612.00.
If it was automated and had plasmas it would have cost $67,579.00.
Be glad that it has VUs... I wish mine did!

There were other options that added to the price like SpectraView, phase meter and other metering options.
They added to the price, but generally these were under $1500.00 options.

The most expensive MCI at that time was a JH-652-52-AF/LM(52) which cost $112,546.00.
That was a 52 channel, fully automated console with plasma meters.
That was 52 input 600 series with 52 plasma meters.

Still.... congratulations and welcome to the club!

I was misinformed origionally by some dildo and didnt change it. Mine is from 1982- Rick Austin an x MCI Dealer told me that they went for 80-100K with automation and I have the EXPENSIVE Mic patching option so add another chunk there. I also have a diskmix computer on the way it will be running with the automation. IMPOSSIBLE to find this I was told Its pretty cool to see all the info on a computer screen instead of trying to look across the board to see whats going on! The tech said that the disk mix was 5000.00 I WILL change that bad info on myspace
