AD/DA upgrade: Digi 192 or Rosetta 200?

I just can't decide on my own, and have no time to do any shootouts. I really only need one good input, and two outputs for monitoring. I normally only use my rig at home with a 96io for editing and playing around, but I'm going to have to bring my rig to some vocal sessions in the next couple of weeks, and I'd like to have better conversion for getting into the box. The rosetta 200 is attractive because of the size, and the lack of the need for Dsub snakes. But.. Does it really sound "better" than the 192? Oh, and just out of curiosity, is the Rosetta 800 really the same as the 200 at 44.1/48?

Please help! I have to decide in the next couple of days.

The Rosetta200 is a good sounding converter, the Digi192 is.., well.., a decent sounding converter. I've A/B-tested several different Apogees against the Digi192 and always liked them better than the Digi. On the other hand you'll get more ins and outs with the Digi. But if your main concern is sound quality, go with the Apogee. If you're running PTHD you will need the ProTools HD-connection-card-option to go with the Rosetta.

Since you are discussing D/A conversion and the Digi equipment, are the converters in the 002 rack the same as in the 192? If not, is this a decent converter as well? Thanks in advance.
