Thread Starter | Drum mic Looking for a set of drum mics. Im buying for my dad as after getting him a drumset he is slowly getting into the world of recording.  I have basically only checked out the selection of Dru Mic sets on sweetwater.com Does anyone have any opinions on these sets? I liked the idea from Earthworks, where less is more by using only 3 mics on a drum set, but I wouldnt mind hearing some opinions on different mics on different drums instead of just buying a kit as Im sure there are people here with both experience and opinions.  I have a budget on $1-2k, and prefer less mics than more! Any help would be greatly appreciated. toasteh
