For starters you might wanna check out some of the cheaper older harder grainy sounding Yamaha SPX's Roland SRV 2000's[both cheap,I got a bunch for free], the eventide Princeton 2016 reissue sounds cool or maybe an AMS RMX16[not cheap]
Some of the convos have the old stuff sampled too

It's been hinted elsewhere on the forum that Lexicon will have new products at AES (October 4). You may want to delay your choice for a week to see what they (and others) show there.

you want the gritty hard in your face 12 bit thing go for the 90 or 50..
the 900 series is a bit smoother.
me personally I'll take the 50 and 90 for the over the top 80s thing
those sound where pretty over the top..go for the gusto!

I am not encouraged. They don't even have the 96 working right yet and they are coming out with another product?

The problem was with FW mode, and not everyone had issues, and most of those who did found that the latest drivers fixed their issues. Mine works perfectly now.

I say bring it on Lexicon!

It would explain why they're slow to fix the FW problems if they've been working on another product. Companies only have a fixed number of engineers, and showing a product at AES would be important. Perhaps they'll be freed up to fix bugs once they show whatever they're going to show.

Oh, but it does. Flanger, chorus, all sorts of delays. And who knows what else might turn up for it...
