Question re ADAM S1a

Really interested in the Adam line now.

I'm wondering if, even though the S1a is small, it would be a more accurate speaker and more representative of the Adam sound "high end" models than say, the new ANS10, even though the ANS would play louder, I assume. Plus, I'd be into a power amp with the ANS, which is a hassle.

I'm in a small Pro Tools control room, and never play anything too loud, though I wouldn't say I would be at whisper levels either. I do a lot of pop, and I also do a lot of instrumental orchestral stuff.

Trying to do this a cheaply as possible, and still have something I can mix on reliably.

Thanks
Tom

Definitely.

The S1A uses the same type of Hexacone driver as the other models in the S series, so it will have tighter, more accurate mid and bass than the ANF10 does.

I have had my heart set on buying some s3a's for a while now after hearing them on a frineds set up, but I'm starting to realise that my room [app 8ft x 9ft x 14ft] may be too small to get good results.

Is this true? If so Which Adams would you suggest?

I make a lot of bass heavy music D&B, Dubstep, Hip-hop etc so I would mainly need something to accomodate that, but I also have clients who make indie and guitar music.

Cheers

FYIW .....

S3a's didn't mind being in a small room.
I once had a temporary setup in a REALLY tiny room. S3a's were really close to me.
Mixes came out great. no problems.

Usual disclaimers apply - ymmv.

The questions of S1, S2, or S3 ........
Love the 1's and 2's. The 3's do the mids a bit different and I found that difference was worth paying for.
I'd take the 2's over anything in the P series down.
