Thread Starter | Safe Sound Audio P1? or something higher end?? I need advise for purchasing a quality pre amp in the 500-1800 range. Im willing to buy used. It would have to be used if it is Avalon/Manley/Averill. This unit will be used mostly for vocals and some electric guitars. No outboard guitar amps will be used. I just want to go from guitar to mic pre to audio card. It has to interface direclty (no mixing board) with a Gina. (my next purchase will probably be a Rosetta 200) I dont need compression limiting or eq....but its nice to have. I dont need more than 2 channels. This is for a project studio. I have looked at Brent Averill stuff, avalon, and even Manley on Ebay. A freind swears on Safe Sound Audio P1. Does it even compete with the above mentioned brands? any suggestioins would be greately appreciated. |
