Recording of Madonna song "Die another day"

Any one of you know who and how they recorded this song, what kind of gear, desk, ouboard they used? I like very much the bass fatness and compression, and the overall sound is just another levell! Proper suing of gate. I gues they are using Neve 88R, but thats just a gues! fuuck

What a great song!!! Best thing she has done in years. Too bad the rest of the CD was Crap with big "C"....

Don't know anything about the recording but the song is pretty cool.

i'm a staunch madonna defender but i gotta say: did not like that song at all.

of course i'm doing what i hate other people to do: posting just to assert an opinion without giving you the info you asked for! sorry!

I know that a lot was done in studio 1 at SarmWest in London.
They have a SSL 9000J and I guess it's all recorded in ProTools.

Sorry I was so useless. I just hold such a distain for that track. I even like Madonna to a certain degree. I think the album True Blue is a great POP album.

I'll list a few albums that I think sound good and contain good songs.

In no particular order:

Slint - Spiderland

Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

Tool - Aenema(sp?) - Checkout these mixes in a DAW. They didn't squash the crap out of it. Pretty rare for a heavy album

Godspeed You Black Emporer - Lift your skinney fists like antennae to the heavens

Almost anything by Bjork

Radiohead - Kid A/Amnesiac

Beck - Mutations

These aren't necessarily at the top of my list for songs or sound, but they're up there. It would require WAY too much thinking for me to actually put together that list.
