Difference Between TDM & Native !!!

Helloo guys....

im thinking to buy waves plugins, but i don't know the difference between TDM and Native. Im running Mac pro 8, 003 pro tools with 48 Tracks.
And thinking to update to HD.

What shall i buy, TDM or Native and why ?

Native means they are dependent on the processor(s)/memory of the host system (the computer). TDM is a format that takes advantage of the audio processors on the Core and Process cards for Pro Tools HD, so no use unless you have HD.

Maybe resolve the issue of if/when you are moving to HD before purchasing the plugs?

Unless you upgrade to TDM, you are spending twice the money for no reason.

Just get native and pay the upgrade if you decide to go HD.. the upgrade price will be the difference between native and TDM pricing with no additional penalties, etc.
