neve channel dynamics functions

if anyone owns a 5116 desk:
what do the SL and HL buttons stand for on the channel strip dynamics? i assume they control release- you can easily hear the difference, but i'm curious to know if they're tied to another function as well (like the gate) and if they have an affect on the SIGNAL present light (which is acting funky).
Also, on the 5116 modules there's an OD button up in the mic section and an AFL button with the direct out. neither has any effect on my module (which i've racked, so perhaps they're defeated).
thanks for any input,
david lawrence

Me also David!

Sorry that I couldn't remember such a simple thing!

Mind you, you've not had much help on that other forum!

yeah, sometimes the most obvious stuff is right under your nose- like forgetting to plug in the AC cord....
the release on HL, when you hit it hard is ridiculously long. it comes up like a steam engine.
by the way, even when racking these modules you need the 25v logic to get output.
so it's that, plus 16v and the 48v phantom. working like a charm.

Hi David

I don't know if that's a typo but the logic is 16v... the audio is +/-16v and +/-25v for the VMOS output.
