Thread Starter | NYC microphone repair needed ASAP Hello everybody I need someone in NYC to repair 2 microphones 1 Akg 451 ( I think the capsule is blown ) 2. microtech gefell um70 ( weird phantom issue ) is intermitant and as of late is not working at all. I need to do this in the next week as I have 2 alum projects coming up at the end of the month /beginning of next month thanks in advance Kieran also a guy who "hot-rods " mics would be great |

| Don't know about the Gefel,but the 451 can be sent to AKG in Nashville. If the capsule is blown the can replace the diaphram. If the capsule housing is damaged then you are out of luck,as they no longer make the assembly. I just recently sent something to them, the service was quick and they were very nice to deal with. | I believe Gotham is gone. I would send the 451 to AKG in Nashville as recommended. For the UM70 use G-Prime (the US importer for Microtech Gefell) who happen to be in NYC. If nothing has changed the repair guy is in once a week on Mondays. The number is 212-765-3415
