Buzz Arc 1.1

Just a quick post to gush about my latest purchase, the Buzz Arc 1.1 channel strip.

Amazing value for money, the compressor is amazing, so transparent but really really effective, exactly what I need for tracking.

The option to split out all the components seperately too is so handy - mic pre, di, filters, eq and comp limiter can all be used as separate boxes. Great for a skin flint like me.

Thanks to Tim from Buzz and the guys at ASAP for the two week loan to see if the channel was for me.

Trouble is, I think I want another one now for stereo action.

Yep, they are sweet, aren't they? I have 2, and I can't help trying them on just about everything I record. The stereo linking of the compressors works quite well - wait'll you hear a pair on the 2 bus...

Glad you liked the Arc so much Rich, if you want a killer combination try one of the Korby microphones, either the Korby Elam 251 or the Korby U67 from the Kat 4 system, this would complement the transparency of the Arc perfectly

It is sweet...so far I've used it on three projects. One R&B/Gospel mix project (with a fellow Gearslut member from Ft. Myers), a latin tracking project, and a death metal tracking and mixing this last weekend. I'm very impressed (and more importantly my clients) with the versatility and great sound of this EQ.
